Point Communications has honored this Illinois Railway Museum site with their Top 5% of the Web Award!
Welcome to my WWW site! The content of this site is railroad oriented. Each web page contains a date of last update, which refers to that page only, and not to other sections of the site. My home page, The Rip Track contains a specific update reference and is a jumping off point for the following pages. So kick back, relax, and enjoy a tour of the Illinois Railway Museum, or a nostalgic look back in time at some of the railroad motive power of the 1930's in The Roundhouse.
Although much of this web site is based on older, historical railroading, you can read about some of my personal experiences (yes, there are pictures too!) at The Extra Board.
I also have various RR photo collections from multiple sources. The Ready Track contains selections from these collections.
The Dome Car contains images from along America's rights of way. The intial selection is an entire booklet of 24 images in Colorado ca. 1914!
Lots of other fine folks have railroad information here on the WWW. You can find links to many of those sites at The Interlocking.
If you just want to "surf", here are some links of other goodies and friends pages:
I'd be remiss if I didn't include a link to IBM's Home Page
Watch for additions to these pages in the future!
