The images contained in these WWW pages are a collection compiled by the late Robert F. Schenzinger in 1935 while a member of the National Association of Railroad Enthusiasts and the International Engine Picture Club.

Mr. Schenzinger is on the right in the image above. Individual to left is Mr. H.W. Pontin, then president of the NARE.

I came upon these images when a business associate discovered that I had an interest in railroading. Robert Schenzinger was his uncle, and this photo album and scrapbook was among his possessions. Mr. Bill Armbruster gave me this collection and authorized me to share it with the world here on "the Web." I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

The original images were 3.5" x 5" black & white photos glued into a scrapbook. Each image was scanned and edited to improve viewing and to bring out shadow detail on a CRT.

Such notes as were provided with the scrapbook album are included. Location and date are included for those images that I have such information, otherwise location and date of the photograph are unknown. In some instances, information from sources other than Mr. Shenzinger's notes has been included.
